Terms of Service

Last updated July 29, 2026

These terms cover buying, sponsoring, donating, and volunteering through this site, which is run by Prairie Ridge High School Booster Club, Inc., an Illinois nonprofit corporation.

Who we are

Prairie Ridge High School Booster Club, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization supporting students at Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. We are registered with the Illinois Attorney General as a charitable organization (CO # 01032573).

We are a separate organization from Prairie Ridge High School and District 155. Buying from us or donating to us is not a payment to the school.

Prices, availability, and mistakes

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Illinois sales tax is added to spirit wear where it applies; sponsorships and donations aren't taxable sales.

Some items are genuinely limited — there are only so many banner spots and only so many shirts. If something sells out after you order, we'll offer you a substitute or a refund.

If a price is obviously wrong because a volunteer fat-fingered it, we'll contact you and either honor it or cancel and refund. We won't quietly charge you a different amount than the one you agreed to.

Spirit wear and pickup

The store is open during parts of the active sports seasons, not year-round. Orders are picked up at home games — we don't ship. We'll email you when your order is ready and where to find us.

Returns, exchanges, and unclaimed orders are covered in the Refund Policy.

Sponsorships

A sponsorship buys an acknowledgment of your support — your name or logo on a banner, in a program, on this website, or read at an event. What you get is listed on the sponsorship you choose.

Sponsor acknowledgments identify and thank you. They aren't advertisements, so they don't carry pricing, endorsements, or calls to action. We may decline or edit artwork that doesn't fit a high school audience, or that would turn an acknowledgment into an ad — this protects both of us.

We are not tax advisors. A sponsorship payment may be deductible as a business expense rather than as a charitable contribution. Your receipt states the facts of what you paid and what you received; what to do with that is between you and your tax professional.

Donations and tax receipts

Donations support Prairie Ridge students. We can't promise a gift will go to one specific team or student — the Board allocates funds — but we'll note your preference and take it seriously.

You'll get a written acknowledgment by email. For gifts of $250 or more it includes the language the IRS requires. Purchases of merchandise are not charitable contributions and their receipts say so.

Volunteering and the concessions points program

Working a concession shift earns one point for a program — a team, club, or activity — that the Board converts into a grant to that program at a rate it sets each season.

Points belong to programs, never to individuals. They can't be credited against an individual student's fees, dues, or travel costs, and they can't be transferred or cashed out. This isn't bureaucracy — booster clubs have lost their tax-exempt status for crediting fundraising to individual families, and we won't put the club at that risk.

Students may work most shifts and earn service hours as well as a point. Some jobs are adults-only for safety reasons, and those are marked when you sign up.

If you sign up and can't make it, use the cancel link in your confirmation email so someone else can take the spot. No-shows leave a stand short-handed on a game night.

Using this site

Don't use this site to break the law, don't try to break into it, and don't scrape it. Please don't submit someone else's information as your own.

The Prairie Ridge name, wolf logos, and school marks belong to the school district and are used with permission. Please don't reuse them for your own purposes.

The honest disclaimer

This site is run by parent volunteers, not a software company. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will never be wrong or never go down.

If we make a mistake with your money, we fix it — that's the Refund Policy, and it's the commitment that actually matters. Beyond refunding what you paid us, our liability is limited to the amount of your transaction, to the extent Illinois law allows.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. The terms in effect when you placed an order are the ones that apply to that order.
